WHO AND WHAT:
Department of Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management, University of Strathclyde (UK), is looking to form a consortium or to join an existing consortium, targeting the joint ERA-NETs, SUSFOOD2 and FOSC call, Topic I: Innovations to improve food systems sustainability, with a focus on increasing resource efficiency and reducing waste.

OUR EXPERTISE:
We can offer expertise in the following areas: supply chain design, sustainable supply chain management (including agri-food sector), sustainability performance assessment (including agri-food sector), circular economy business models, reverse logistics, food distribution, food logistics. We have worked with several agri-food supply chains, with a particular focus on smallholder farmers and SMEs. Our research is characterised by adopting a systemic approach, which aligns well with the scope of the call.

WHAT IS NEXT?
We are looking to expand the areas of application of our expertise to complementary areas, including, but not limited to, reduction of food loss and waste in food systems, circular economy redesign of food supply chains, use of side streams of food supply chains.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for dedicated international partners to draft a proposal for the above call and are particularly looking for partners that can support us on more technical elements, with a particular focus on the agricultural stage and food processing.
