IDMEC – Mechanical Engineering Institute in Lisbon, Portugal, invites researchers interested in applying for the Marie-Sklodowska Curie PostDoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) 2023 HORIZON-MSCA-2023-PF-01-01 to submit their Expressions of interest to IDMEC as the host institution.
IDMEC welcomes applications from the researchers with outstanding CV.
Candidates should have defended their PhD within the last 8 years, and should not have resided or performed their principal research activity in Portugal for more than 12 months in the last 3 years before September 13th 2023, according to the rules of the MSCA-PostDoctoral funding program.
The additional advantages of applying for the MSCA-PF with IDMEC as the host institution, include the opportunity within the WIDENING program provided by the European Commission: ERA Fellowships. It promotes the mobility of the candidates moving to the WIDENING countries of Horizon Europe program, which includes Portugal. That way, candidates applying for the MSCA-PF 2023 who do not succeed to obtain the funding, will have the additional opportunity to obtain the funding through the HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-TALENTS-02-01, without having to resubmit their application.

Application Procedure for submitting Expression of interest to be hosted in IDMEC for your MSCA-PF:

Send your Expression of interest to email [email protected] with the email subject "MSCA-PF Manifestation of interest – NAME OF THE CANDIDATE" by July 10th, 2023 composed of the following:
• Expression of interest template including 1 page draft of the proposal, current CV and copy of PhD diploma
• Indicate the name of the possible IDMEC supervisor from the published "Hosting Offers". Additionally, Pre-award Office of IDMEC may search for you another possible supervisor within the IDMEC, that will match your research interests.
Within the 10 days after the submission of the Expression of interest all applicants will be informed if they have been selected.
Successful candidates will then establish direct contact with supervisor, and be provided a step-by-step guide, documents, and support on how to prepare a successful MSCA-PF proposal, in liaison with their supervisor, and submit their full proposal for the 13 September 2023 deadline.
