Looking for a coordinator to consolidate a consortium for the upcoming HORIZON-CL2-2024-DEMOCRACY-01-04 “The interrelation between social, cultural and political identities, as well as the sense of belonging, and democracies” call.
We are representing a group of experts in social, political and intellectual history, focusing on the historical evolution of the concept of democracy from a diachronic perspective, on the social, political and economic fractures that have shaped it and on the tools that have been proposed and applied to transform it.
We investigate from an interdisciplinary perspective how to address the crisis of democracy, which emerges in the difficulty of dealing with and harmoniously combining individuals and/or groups with cultural, religious, sexual, political, economic and legal differences.
We can guarantee high expertise in women’s history, gender and politics, history of social movements and political thought as well as institutional discourse in democratic systems.
Our team is composed of full and associate professors, as well as early-career researchers, affiliated with several Italian public universities (University of Bologna, University of Turin, University of Cagliari and University of Salento), looking for international partnerships to build a strong, effective and long-lasting consortium.
