Making New Connections and Capacity Building at Crowdhelix Events

The Horizon Europe Cluster 3 matchmaking event, hosted by Crowdhelix at the University of Greenwich was an excellent opportunity for Canadian researchers just getting to know the European funding framework. It was useful to connect with relevant collaborators across the European civil security ecosystem. I learned more about collaborating, developing proposals, and participating as a Canadian researcher interested in Horizon Europe.

University of Venice Connects to Multiple Proposals Through Crowdhelix Events

Following our engagement in Crowdhelix's recent matchmaking events, the University of Venice was able to join up to 6 proposals across 2025. Venice based researchers were able to participate as both consortium partners and leaders. We're looking forward to seeing the outcomes of these proposals as they emerge. Crowdhelix's team also helped to fill gaps in the consortia as needed. They've been a valuable resource as we look to expand our portfolio of funded projects across 2026.

Crowdhelix Matchmaking Event Builds New Networks and Enables Proposal Submission

"Connections made at one of Crowdhelix's 2025 Horizon Europe matchmaking events directly led to the ACU joining a consortium for HORIZON-CL5-2025-03-D1-07: Implementing the climate action pillar of the EU-AU partnership on Climate Change and Sustainable Energy. A proposal was successfully submitted in September, 2025 that includes the ACU as a work package leader. Crowdhelix's events have been a powerful tool for creating new and diverse networks for the ACU to build upon. We look forward to future connections and submission of this kind."

Crowdhelix Event is a Key Factor in New and Meaningful Partnerships

I would not have been able to find the partners I need without their Horizon Europe Cluster 2 session in London this Summer. As a result of this international session, we'll be submitting a proposal for an upcoming CL2 deadline in 2026."

Horizon Europe Matchmaking Event Leads to a Funded Project

"As part of a Crowdhelix supported Horizon Europe event in May, 2024 in Zagreb, Croatia, I was able to connect with a number of international partners that led to the formation of the BTL-COP consortium. Led by the University of Greenwich, this Horizon Europe CL3 proposal focuses on building trust, in-depth knowledge-sharing, and leadership in community policing to tackle poverty-related crime to develop safer neighbourhoods in UK and EU communities. This proposal was funded in the Spring of 2025. We are most grateful for the ongoing support of Crowdhelix."

Crowdhelix roundtables spark lasting collaborations

I met a representative of Brunel University at a Roundtable organized by Crowdhelix in 2020. Since then we have formed a friendly professional relationship and have been collaborating on a number of proposals under the Horizon Europe program. The Roundtable is a very useful networking tool where collaboration sparks and long-standing relations between organizations are ignited. I am grateful to Crowdhelix that the platform extends beyond its restraints to virtual Roundtables and RTO events. Thank you, Crowdhelix, for doing a great job on bringing people together in the name of science!"

Pathfinder Helix Webinar provides valuable insight

I always had questions on communication and dissemination activities, management of intellectual property in the projects related to the technologies at low TRL (up to TRL4). Crowdhelix facilitates connection to a world-leading Citizen Science expert

Food Helix event leads to successful proposal submission

“I attended the Food Helix event in Milan where I met excellent contributors to my proposal I was working on. The Crowdhelix team have connected me to several experts at the University of Milan and National Institute of Chemistry in Slovenia who were interested in the same call. Having put together a very interdisciplinary consortium, I am pleased to confirm we submitted the proposal together last month and are currently awaiting an evaluation result. I would like to thank Crowdhelix for organising this event and facilitating the connections.“

€10M project won following Crowdhelix event introductions

“Following a Crowdhelix Energy and Climate brokerage event in Brussels, I was connected to several new organisations from the industrial and research intensive sector from across the Crowdhelix network. These new contacts, then formed part of a Horizon 2020 consortium that has recently received a positive evaluation from the European Commission securing 10 million euros. I would like to thank Crowdhelix for making these connections and enabling our success”.

“Participation in the Maritime & Marine Helix launch event was a significant experience for all of us and proof of the correctness of the decision to access the Vision2020 and Crowdhelix network. Significant contacts have been made with a number of scientific and research institutions, as well as business entities, which creates the perspective of further development of our company and its participation in a number of different international projects. Our goal remains the development of shipping activities and the maritime economy in our country.”
