Challenges and lessons learned for leaving no one behind in green transitions - Perspectives from Croatia, Austria and The Netherlands
Past Event
Tue, Sep 26, 2023 10:00 AM - Tue, Sep 26, 2023 12:30 PM
The BOLSTER project (Bridging Organizations and marginalized communities for Local Sustainability Transitions in EuRope) aims to understand how marginalised communities are affected by European Green Deal (EGD)-related policies and to see whether involving them in decision-making processes increases the support for transition plans. The project, coordinated by Tilburg University, began in September 2022 and will deliver new scientific evidence on decarbonisation transition strategies and how they intersect with various dimensions of inequality, such as gender, race, age and class. It will conceptualise the principle of leaving no one behind by developing participatory governance models and transition guidelines based on climate justice and gender equality. In this framework, ECAS and the BOLSTER consortium partners are organising a series of 10 regional policy dialogues focused on the project’s target regions and 3 EU policy dialogues. The aim for this first regional dialogue, focusing primarily on Croatia, is to stimulate cross-regional policy learning among regions affected by Just Transition and green transition processes. We will invite regional policy-makers, NGO representatives, local industries, and academics to discuss challenges and lessons learned in these processes.

RM Roadmap Knowledge and Community Platform - How to engage on the new EARMA online co-creation space
Past Event
Mon, Sep 25, 2023 02:00 PM - Mon, Sep 25, 2023 03:30 PM
Join us for an introduction to the dynamic online co-creation platform created by the RM Roadmap project, https://www.rmroadmap.eu/. This open-for-all event is an introduction for Research Managers (RM) to a platform designed to connect professionals, fostering thematic and national collaborations through a new co-creation space. (Separate bespoke closed events for RM ROADMAP Ambassadors and Associate Ambassadors have been arranged to take place on the 18 and 21 of September 2023 and have been communicated separately.) The Knowledge and Community Platform (KCP) constitutes a transformative platform that provides an arena for RMs to initiate, contribute to, and authenticate discussions on a variety of topics, including career pathways. The core design of KCP is dynamic, allowing it to cross beyond national and thematic limits, providing participants with the opportunity to co-create consensus documents and engage in important discussions. Driving these discussions will be our distinguished RM Roadmap ambassadors in close collaboration with the project consortium. Consensus documents will be discussed on the KCP online platform; these documents are intended to reflect the majority perspective and will be open for participant voting. We want to emphasise that this event is accessible to all interested parties. The primary aim is to offer a comprehensive introduction to interacting with the RM Roadmap Knowledge and Community Platform before the first session starts in October 2023. We invite every RM to engage and propel this co-creation process forward. Your presence and participation will undoubtedly be crucial to the success of this effort. The speakers are Nik Claesen, the RM Roadmap Coordinator and Managing Director of the EARMA and Borana Taraj, the Head of European projects at EARMA who is co-cordinating the RM Roadmap project with Nik.
