Looking for imaging partners for the development of an attract-and-kill fly traps to monitor and manage pest species.
Sabanci University is developing a proposal for the HORIZON CL-6-2022-FARM2FORK-02-02: Emerging and Future Risks to Plant Health Call. As a part of the imaging study of our project, attract and kill traps attached with a high-res camera will be designed. This camera based system will take daily high resolution pictures of traps and transmit them to the cloud for further analysis. This camera system will have 2 communication interfaces. The first interface will be long-range communications to transmit telemetry information and on-board processed statistics on selected pest species. The second communications interface will be used for high bandwidth communication in conjunction with drones. The high resolution camera images will be stored on-board and then transmitted through weekly drone visits.
We are also looking for partners experienced in policy development for sustainable agricultural practices and integrated pest management strategy development who will work together with community stakeholders and create networks with policy makers in the EU to help further improve the already existing IPM strategies and policies.
