Every year ~90.000 Europeans are diagnosed with liver cancer, while approximately 80.000 citizens sadly pass away from this disease, ranking liver cancer as the 7th leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Europe.

This event is organised by Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE) and the European Liver Patients' Association (ELPA) in collaboration with the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) in recognition of October being Liver Cancer Awareness Month.

DiCE is the representative umbrella organisation of nearly 40 national digestive cancer patient organisations in Europe. At the same time, ELPA aims to promote the interests of people with liver disease representing 32 members from 25 countries. EASL aims to spread knowledge and expertise in best practices and the latest scientific breakthroughs in hepatology.

Our organisations have collaborated to bring together experts, policymakers, patients, and other stakeholders active in the field of liver cancer to explore what we can all do to ensure that no patient in Europe is left behind.
