Call for expressions of interest for projects in Ageing & Public Policy

Seeking expertise:
The Irish Centre for Social Gerontology is looking to host an experienced researcher via funding through Marie Sklodowska-Curie Post Doctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PDs). In order to secure funding, the experienced researcher must develop a proposal with the host for the October 12th 2021 deadline.
Project idea and researcher opportunities:
We welcome research projects in areas related to ageing and public policy, particularly on any of the following ICSG themes:
• Social Exclusion & Inequity
• Work & Retirement
• Place and changing contexts
• Infrastructures of care and support
Researchers with relevant social science experience and in particular in relation to ageing and public policy are welcome to apply. Candidates will have:
1. Publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, peer-reviewed conference proceedings
3. Invited presentations to peer-reviewed, internationally established conferences and/or
international advanced schools.
4. Research projects that the Experienced Researcher has led.
5. Organisation/involvement in the organisation of International conferences in the field of the applicant (membership in the steering and/or programme committee).
7. Prizes and Awards.
8. Funding received so far
9. Supervising, mentoring activities, (if applicable)
How to Apply
All applications must include:
• A detailed curriculum vitae
• A cover letter describing the candidate’s current research interests
• Brief research proposal (one page)
• One copy of each of two relevant publications (or, alternatively, writing samples)
• Two letters of recommendation.
